MEET MAGGIE!
Come meet this cute 1-2 year old black bear at Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood. This young bear was roaming around a ranch near Santa Fe and was not afraid of people or dogs, so it was destined for trouble. It was obvious that it had lost its mother because it was undernourished and unsuccessful surviving in the wild. Luckily, employees from the New Mexico Game and Fish Department captured the bear by putting donuts in a trap and it wasn’t long before the bear found a new home at Wildlife West. The baby bear is adjusting nicely to its new surroundings including eating 2-3 meals per day and exploring a large habitat with juniper trees to climb.

MEET FOXIE AND THUNDER
Come meet Foxie, a red fox, and Thunder, a pronghorn, who are the newest baby rescues at Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood. Visitors will have a rare opportunity to experience these new wildlife babies along with the other 20 species of native wildlife in their natural habitats.
