World Blacksmith Championship

Blacksmiths from all over the world will compete at the 6th annual World Blacksmith Championships at Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood. The dates for the competition will be announced soon. Visitors will experience the vintage art form of blacksmithing as the professional farriers compete for the World Championship. Sunday's activities also include horseshoeing demonstrations. Visitors will enjoy the historic western character of Wildlife West while they watch blacksmiths compete from as far away as Brazil, England and all over the United States. Fall is the perfect time to walk through Wildlife West's zoo to experience and get close to the 25 species of native rescued wildlife including black bear, cougars, Mexican wolves, bobcat, pronghorn, Crested Caracaras, raptors and more. Come for the weekend and stay in the free dry RV/camping area on the grounds of Wildlife West. Admission to the World Blacksmith Championships is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $4 for children and kids under 5 are free (includes admission into the wildlife park). All proceeds from the weekend event go to support native, rescued wildlife at the park. Wildlife West is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
